The Milos Experimental Stage, ever more mature and daring, and joined by quite a few new people, staged M. Reppas and Th. Papathanasiou’s comedy “Daddies with Rum” with great success in mid-May.

A tight, fast and energetic show, with sparkling dialogue and excellent movement from the actors. The play is rather foul-mouthed, it’s true, but it is also representative of the excess, the shamelessness, the carelessness and the loss of moral ballast that lie in wait in the everyday life of the poor modern Greek, as he chases money, any money, money with no strings attached, becoming a… moral rubber band. After the laughter, the play left a bitter taste. It made the audience think, and that is what theatre is for.

The production was directed by Giorgos Gemeliaris. The cast were Nikos Argyreas, Avra Valsamanidou, Nikos Vichos, Moschoula Mavrogianni, Elpida Mountsaki and Areti Foufopoulou. The set was by Moschoula Mavrogianni, and Katerina Berdologou looked after the production as a whole. Music supervision was by Christos Damoulakis, sound and lighting by Giannis Chrysoulis, costumes by Mantalena Tseroni and hair by Giolanta Zarzytska. Assistant directors were Anezina Vamvouni and Giorgos Kourelis. Stage management: Nena Pollaki, Katerina Androulidaki, Dimitris Xydous, Despoina Koliaraki, Mantalena Tseroni and Georgia Tourlou.
