A piece of theatre completely different from anything the Experimental Stage has done so far, since it was created by the performers themselves, from their own thoughts and concerns, which they want to share and communicate with the audience, who take part in this process. This year’s work is an approach to contemporary theatre that does not want “actors as entertainers and audiences as judges” and does not want the stage separated from the seats. It is an invitation to a journey “together”, with imagination and feeling as our compass.
“Tonight we will show you another way of making theatre, one that has always existed but was for years forgotten in the back of history’s cupboard. A theatre that is friendly, direct, intimate and real, with no dividing frame, no distance from the seats, no audience-judges and no actor-entertainers.
The title of our show, “From the Inside Out”, says it all.
We saw our Milos as the dot on the earth that it really is, a miniature of all the happenings and problems, the truth and the lies, reality and dream, isolation and collective effort that live and rule alongside us across the whole globe. If we think about it a little, we will see clearly that nothing that happens here, in the place where we live, is far from everyday life around the world.”
All I can do is hope that people and the world
will begin to recognise their problem
freely, and search for an honest solution.
Because they cannot live otherwise.
Suspicion is wretchedness, and mistrust is poverty.
I am in danger from no one but myself.
The more self-confidence I gain,
the more I let go and trust others.
