A seminar for teenagers

The Milos Experimental Stage, together with the “Tora Paizoume!” Workshop for Theatre Creation and the Development of Emotional Intelligence, organised a trial two-day seminar for teenagers on 22 and 23 November at the Adamas Cultural Centre, led by psychologist and actor Mary Logotheti, with twelve teenagers taking part.

A note from the facilitator, Mary Logotheti (psychologist and actor)

In an effort to open new paths towards a more meaningful connection with knowledge of the world, of ourselves and of those around us, and combining theories and methods from Social Psychology, Body Psychotherapy and Physical/Improvisational Theatre, we created a distinctive programme that aims, through the dynamics of the group, to move body, mind and soul together, recognising their indivisible nature. This experiential approach to the world, the self and others is a powerful educational tool, and also an effective way of preventing and addressing psychosomatic illness and learning difficulties, as it contributes to the healthy, overall development of personalities able to know themselves and to live alongside others.

At the request of the young people who took part, the programme will continue and be completed in a first cycle of 6–7 sessions.
