In November 2014 the Milos Experimental Stage, together with the “Tora Paizoume!” Workshop for Theatre Creation and the Development of Emotional Intelligence, organised a two-day seminar for teenagers at the Adamas Cultural Centre, led by psychologist and actor Mary Logotheti, with ten teenagers taking part. The result was so interesting and encouraging for teenagers and parents alike that we decided to continue with a programme of 12 sessions over 6 weekends. In these, the teenagers wrote and prepared their own show with their own take on the burning issues of adolescence.
Seeing the very positive effect of this psycho-educational process on the participants’ everyday lives and personal growth, the Milos Experimental Stage believes the effort must continue and draw more of the island’s teenagers into a creative and exciting activity.
